Saturday 20th April.

Some may wish to bring a picnic lunch to eat first and then to start the walk at 2 PM. RSPB members Park free.

Eastern Lodge Gardens Open Day.

We have been invited to participate as a Society. Please offer to come and help with the display and Bug Hunt.

The Annual Big Forest Bird Watch.
Meet at the main forest entrance at 7:30 AM. Please let us know if you are planning to attend and help to continue this valuable study.

Sunday 2nd June.

2.00pm. Hatfield Forest.
Start the first section of an ecological survey of the gravel pit area. . This will give valuable information to the National Trust. No experience needed, but a great opportunity to learn so please support.

Jono Forgham will give us a guided tour and check the contents of his light moth trap. Please follow the parking instructions and do not park along the narrow road.

Bat Evening. Time TBA.
Hatfield Forest, main car park. We shall walk a fixed transect with detectors to get meaningful data on the bat population in the Forest.

September 8th and 9th.

Hatfield Forest Wood Fest.
Please volunteer to come and man our stand to publicise Forest Nature as well as help out with a biodiversity display. Start 10.00am.

Saturday and Sunday 21st and 22nd September.
Small mammal live trapping at Hatfield Forest.
Meet at 6:30 PM Saturday to set traps, return 9 AM Sunday to check catch.

If you are interested in going on one of these interesting visits then please leave your details with either the contact given or the Chairman.
